shot this with a 35MM and a single beauty dish
her friend was holding the scarf and letting it go on the count the hand had to be cloned out..
Alien Bee 1600 with the 22inch beauty dish was used because it was so windy.. the beauty dish is a good choice for this type of condition.. a umbrella would break in the wind.
ab1600 was about 4 feet way camera left, and on 1/3 power

I just received the new Cactus V5's Duo... as a beta tester.
i have been long time user of the Cactus Systems and feel very lucky to be a part of this.. they pick me along with a handful of other users in the world for this Privileged EARLY ROLL OUT..
a full write will soon be delivered by me.. but since i have not fully tested this system out.. (From the Technical, functional, and aesthetic) i just wanted to share some photos of the new system
i will state this:
i was able to fire a shot about 100 Yards away using a 580EXII in my garage.. i could probably have gone farther but it was too cold to mess around any longer.. i figured 100 yards is plenty for what i would ever need..
in the box you will get two transceivers, thus the name DUO..
i don't know the cost nor when www.gadgetinfinity.com will offer this product it to the public yet.

Winter Brides are so happy..
here i have Corrine doing what i call the "Dancing Bride"
the results always look amazing.. Key is you have to have a bride that is outgoing and not shy to do this..
i just have the guy look and smile and what the bride has to do is spin and act happy... of course you the photographer has to just click about 4-8 shots of the spin move and one of them will be this cool..

well the winter is here and going thru the photos i took this Fall makes me appreciate Fall more ! LOL..
This golden light only lasted for about 5-10 mins tops.. just glad we got there in time to get a couple shots..
Lighting was Elinchrom Quadra with Deep Octa Boomed by her Brother's Friend..

i had a Neutral Density Filter Value of .6 to get it opened up and be capable with my shutter sync speeds..

The Grey Seemless was provided by Ryan O Hicks, setting this thing up and taking down is a real pain.. thanks for bringing this Ryan..
to get this shot we had to have..
1. A fan for hair
2. Key lighting was the Quadra camera left @ 2.8 power
3. Side lighting was the 60 inch Softlighter in with AB1600 @ 1/2 power camera right rear for the fill
about the skin work.. (i am still learning skin work, the dodge and burn, at pixel level, takes really long.. so i am experimenting with other methods that gets good results but much less time.. ) i do know the simple plug in's don't get the pro results you want so don't do plug ins..
3 layers..
1. top layer is a high pass filter @ opacity of 33 percent with blending mode of overlay
2. 2nd layer is a cleaned up layer of skin smoothing opacity of 88-90 percent
3. original layer that was hand cleaned up with photoshop spot healer manual mode

like i have said before, "nnovations in Post processing, Compositions, and the ART of photography lays with the Artist him or her self.. (the jaw dropping photo created in the artist mind is conceived way before the actual lighting set up is done and the execution of the conceived photo is the easy part.. then the post processing becomes the signature of each Artist.)
So short answer is yes.. new concepts are being created only in the sense of the Art and Conceived Concepts, throw in post processing and you will get an infinite New Concepts in photography."

the actual show that i was watching was dexter - showtime that inspired me on this...
but i wanted to create something different with the Borne Identity theme...
i don't know if it is like the Borne Series, but oh well it was a try..

so after the shoot i bet you she was saying to her mom.. about how sick she was with head banging - lol.. haha..
but the head banging was well worth it..
